For over 20 years, DMV's very own DJ Garret has been requested to DJ at countless Weddings, Mitzvahs, and a wide range of private events in destinations such as Italy, Turkey, and Mexico. He has also held residencies throughout the years in some of Washington DC's biggest night clubs such as Decades, POV @ W Hotel, & Rosebar.
Aside from his skillful combination of mixing music, he is a man of many talents. His MC abilities are unique and often finds himself on the dance floor interacting with the crowd, separating him from other DJs.

With DJ Garret, you don’t just get a DJ! My husband and I got married during the COVID-19 pandemic, right as restrictions began to lift. We didn’t know how to plan our timeline and debated having a dinner-only reception. We feared hiring a DJ without guests feeling comfortable with dancing. DJ Garret swooped in and saved the day! He kindly came to our home, gifted us a congratulatory bottle of champagne, and discussed our music selection. DJ Garret comes with a ton of experience, so much that he even reviewed and adjusted our jam packed timeline to create a better flow. Not only does he conduct business professionally, but he is very easy to reach and responded quickly to our many, many last minute changes. He also offered us uplighting, sparkler machines, MC Service, and a photo booth which is very convenient- a one stop shop! Our wedding was a fusion wedding (Indian and Portuguese), and although we gave him our song selections, he even had traditional music from both cultures already in his library that he chose to play during cocktail hour. This was such a hit and we got tons of compliments from our guests. Despite the pandemic and the fear instilled in our guests, the moment the music started, every seat at the reception was empty! All of our guests were on the dance floor and it was just the happiest moment of our lives. We sincerely thank DJ Garret, highly recommend him, and will definitely do business again!

Totally biased as this was my own wedding, but YO! Garret is whats up! I met Garret through a friend who is a wedding DJ that actually referred me to him. I have never been at a wedding where the entire room rushed the dance floor as soon as it opened and stayed there until the very last song, and somehow Garret managed to do that for us yesterday. He not only kept 200+ people jumping, but managed to play music that catered to: Egyptians, Indians, and people from rural Pennsylvania all at the same time. If you want people telling you how awesome your party was well after your reception ends, hire this guy and he will hook it up!

Hired DJ Garret for our wedding this past Saturday and could not have been happier! From the planning process (an in-person meeting, countless emails, and a week-of conference call) to the day-of setup and execution, Garret was very easy to work with and always gracious! He presented recommendations and advice when appropriate, but wasn't afraid to stick to our vision for the evening. We had set songs for cocktail hour and dinner which he played, but was also able to supplement with like-songs on his own when needed. Dance music was all on Garret and boy did he get and keep folks on the dance floor! Excellent DJ, great announcer and awesome song mixing master! How far in advance should we book you?
It’s highly recommended to book your accommodations at least six to twelve months in advance, particularly during peak seasons. This ensures you secure the best options available and avoid any last-minute hassles. Planning ahead can make all the difference for a smooth and enjoyable experience.
How often will you meet with us?
Once you’re booked, we’ll schedule an introductory meeting to kick things off. After that, I'll check in with periodically to keep everything on track. We’ll have another meeting 90 days out, then 30 days out, and finally the week of your event to ensure we’ve captured your vision perfectly. Your satisfaction is my priority every step of the way.
